Announcing a new Amish series!

We’ve just contracted with Mindy Steele for a three-book Amish series set in the fictional town of Miller’s Creek, Kentucky. The first book in the series is “To Catch a Hummingbird,” which will release next year.

About the book

Lydia Miller prefers keeping busy. It leaves little time to think, and to regret what she did. She works hard to help keep the family farm afloat since her father’s death, but with her mother busy running the local bakery, it only made sense they would sell the farm. Now, instead of multiple jobs, Lydia has only one, caring for the Graber children, which is proving to be a challenge like no other.

Widower, Silas Graber fell right into the Bishop’s plan. He did need help, but he thought he was getting Hazel Miller not her daughter. Her ways are nothing like his late wife’s, but she has breathed life back into his home. It’s only right he help her overcome her past, but he didn’t expect so much in return.

We’re excited about this book series, and believe you will be, too!

Continuing the Forlorn series by Gina Detwiler

Detwiler, Gina3BWGina Detwiler, author of the bestselling Forlorn series, has signed a contract to continue the series with an additional two books and a novella.

The novella delves into Jared’s backstory while the two novels continues his and Grace’s journey as they fight against the forces of evil.

Look for the continuation of the series in 2021! In the meantime, you can read the first three books which are all together in one bundle!

A Congressional Congratulation for Susan Miura

On Christmas Eve, Susan Miura received a letter from Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi congratulating her on her Midwest Book Review rating and Royal Dragonfly award.  It’s impressive that the Congressman took time out of his day to thank a hardworking author! We couldn’t be happier for Susan (or prouder of her accomplishment!)

Here’s a sneak peek (taken from the author’s blog) at the first book in the series, A Test of Gold.

In late 19th century New York City, Evangeline Lindenmayer, called Lindy, has been raised in the wealth and sheltered splendor of Fifth Avenue.

Her social-climbing mother, Vera, has big plans plans to marry Lindy to an English duke, trading the family’s nouveau riche cash to gain a royal title for the Lindenmayer family.

Lindy’s father, unaware that his daughter spends all her free time in the library, loans the use of it to Jack Winthrop, a middle-class seminary student.

When Lindy falls in love with Jack, she’ll need all the courage and determination she possesses to defy her battleaxe of a mother and find true love.

Where You Lead Award New

Did You See…?

Leanne Pankuch was recently featured in a guest post on shadow plotting your villain’s story line on TeachingAuthors.com. Leanne is the author of the young adult fantasy, Dragon’s Truth, which is officially six-months-old. (Go to Leanne’s site to enter a contest to celebrate, but hurry! It ends September 30th!)

Dragons truth e-reader and mobile cover

In case you don’t know what shadow plotting is (We didn’t until we read the interview!), it’s plotting the main character’s and the villain’s journey in your writing process. There’s so much more to it than that, though, so you’ll want to go read the complete article/interview. You may find a better way to chronicle the journeys of your lead characters!

Don’t Miss Leanne Pankuch’s Celebration!

In honor of the six-month anniversary for the release of Dragon’s Truth, Leanne Pankuch is hosting a giveaway at her website! You can find all the details here, but hurry! The contest ends September 30!

A Shout Out To Our Authors

We’ve said this before, but it always bears repeating. We wouldn’t be here without our authors.

Vinspire Header for Facebook

We’ve been in business for over fifteen years now, and we’ve been fortunate to work with some amazingly talented authors. We helped launch careers, have watched as authors have moved on to astounding success, and the awards have been plentiful.

Our books have been approved by the Catholic Writers Guild, have been finalists in major contests like the American Christian Fiction Writers and Romantic Times, have won awards from Readers Favorite, RWA chapters, Moonbeam Children’s Awards, Literary Classics, and more, and have been reviewed by School Library Journal, Kirkus, Booklist, Midwest Book Reviews, and more.

We have authors impacting today’s youth by speaking at schools and teaching at camps, authors that have now sold over 1,000,000 copies and 500,000 copies of their combined books ( not all of them were published by Vinspire), and authors who continue to amaze us with their perseverance, their drive to succeed, and their graciousness.

So, once again, we celebrate our authors! We’re so thankful for each and every one of them and applaud each achievement!

Where You Lead Wins 2nd Place Award

Where You Lead, the inspiring young adult novel by Leslea Wahl, won second place in the Colorado Independent Publishers Association Contest! Have you read Eve’s search for a boy she knows she’s never seen and God’s will?

• Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Forgiveness Fix accepted her short story, “A Last Look,” which recounts a final visit to the house where she grew up and experienced abuse and illustrates how allowing ourselves to love and be loved helps us forgive and move beyond old pain. Book will be released November 5, 2019. (See the cover below!)

• Inspire Grace will publish her true short story, “The Language of Grace,” which describes how experiencing hardship gives us language to understand and speak into the lives of others who have similarly suffered. Launch party is scheduled for December 2019.
